Lighthouse Foundation have recently secured our first Foster Care Hub Home in Ivanhoe East. This home provides support to up to 10 local foster care families to give them intensive support as they continue their foster care journeys, ultimately preventing young kids from becoming homeless further down the road. With the home secured, we’re now looking to engage and advertise the local community in helping us care for local young people and are seeking to address the chronic shortage of Victorian Foster Carers. On this volunteer day, Lighthouse Volunteers will be preparing information brochures and working in groups to distribute these within a local neighbourhood.
