Volunteer Dog Coordinator

We are looking for a supportive and empathetic person to be trained in co-ordinating our current team in SAFE Busselton’s animal rescue work. You will be highly motivated by SAFE’s mission. In this key role you will ensure that SAFE Busselton rescues dogs from euthanasia and find them safe, secure and loving homes.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities include but not limited to:  Assess suitability of pound and surrender dog intakes for rehoming  Authorise vet work  Liaise and collaborate with Foster Carer Coordinator  Liaise and maintain good relationships with the Council Rangers  Liaise with dog team  Liaise with vets and keep committee updated on condition of any sick or injured animals. To be successful in this role you will need the following:  Strong interpersonal and communication skills  Excellent customer service skills and orientation  Experience in database management  Good computer skills and experience in using Microsoft software packages  Ability to handle multiple competing deadlines and issues simultaneously  Commitment to ensuring the best possible outcomes for animals in need  Good problem solving and conflict management skills  Compassionate nature and ability to empathise with and understand different situations that may lead to animals being surrendered to SAFE Busselton
