#About the Beeliar Seniors Club

The Beeliar Seniors Social Club was established in May 2019 with support from the City of Cockburn and Beeliar Community Voice Inc – Beeliar Residents Association. Currently the Club is a part of BCV Inc., with the ultimate goal to grow and become an independent association in its own right. The idea behind the club is to reduce social isolation and provide an opportunity to encourage people to connect with their community. It is hoped that those who utilise the activities offered by the social club will continue to grow their connections, get more involved in community activities and find a place where they feel like they belong.

Mental health and staying active are very important issues for everyone as we age, and we hope the Beeliar Senior Social Club will be a big part in helping people commit to healthy lives! It is very important to offer the Beeliar senior community a social club where they can meet new people, share their knowledge and skills, and continue to build on their health and wellbeing in the later stages of their lives. Some find it difficult to travel outside of the area to stay connected with the outside world, so having a club established in Beeliar will hopefully ease the burden of transport and financial stress and offer more opportunities to participate in, and stay connected with, their wonderful community.
