The Australian Aphasia Association provides national advocacy support for people with acquired brain injury with language impairment, a communication disability known as APHASIA. The Media Team provides essential support to the association via our various social media channels. This flexible volunteer position may suit someone who is a current allied health student or who is a professional with a strong interest in aphasia. We are recruiting for social media (Facebook, Instagram, and/or YouTube) skills.
Essential Criteria
- Well-developed written communication skills
- Proactive, organised and reliable
- Computer literacy skills and access to a computer
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in research appraisal
- Undertaken or assisted in research in the area of Aphasiology
Your Role
As a Media Team member you will have the opportunity to:
- Post high quality content of interest to the aphasia community
- Develop the Australian Aphasia Association Facebook page
- Assist in the maintenance of other social media channels
- Raise awareness of aphasia in the Australian community via social media
