An Organisation that provides individuals and families on low incomes with access to safe, fair and affordable credit, is seeking Volunteers who would like to assist with their No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS).

They understand that big household expenses sometimes come out of the blue and that these unexpected financial events can create even more pressure on already stretched household budgets. This program aims to relieve the burden and more importantly enables clients to realise their own economic well being, resulting in them feeling valued, accepted, included and in control of their own finances and lives.

About The Role:

• Assist in phone screening potential clients
• Interviewing community members who wish to apply for the No Interest Loans Scheme
• Training provided and network opportunities offered
• Perfect for those wanting to transition from corporate to NFP role
• Hours required are 16 hours per week, flexible week days
• The role location is at Marrickville, however there may be opportunity to work from home if suitable

About You:

• Must show a high level of maturity and be non-judgemental
• Ability to decide fairly if clients have the capacity and willingness to repay the loan
• Previous finance/banking experience highly regarded
• Willingness to commit to the role on a long term basis (12 months min)
• Fluent in English, both written and oral
• Computer savvy – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc
