DISABILITY EDUCATION SUPPORT

Liverpool Volunteer Resource Centre
Logo for Liverpool Volunteer Resource Centre

A Not for profit Organisation that actively works to empower people with a disability to be ready for paid employment and achieve their career goals, is seeking Volunteers to assist their students with their further educational studies.

The students are studying various TAFE courses such as education, finance, hospitality, retail and community services and they would benefit greatly from some patient mentors who can encourage them and support them with their learning endeavours. This may mean assisting students with their reading and literacy skills, English skills or digital skills. The support required will be quite varied and dependent on what the student is studying and their level of individual need.

Volunteers are needed Mondays to Fridays, between 9am and 4pm, or part thereof. You may be available for one or more days, or perhaps even half a day per week. Any time you have to give will be highly valued and much appreciated. No previous teaching experience is required, just a caring and patient attitude and a desire to help these students achieve their educational goals.

If you would like to join this team of people who are passionate about building bridges for people with a disability to move towards paid mainstream employment through supported education, we would love to hear from you!

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
