iTrack Transcript Checker
The Smith FamilyThe primary role of the iTrack transcript checker is to read for child protection the transcripts produced by matched student/mentor pairs in the online iTrack student/mentor program. This role is vital to meet the requirements of our child protection framework and to facilitate program delivery, ensuring the safety of all participants. Through this role, volunteers provide critical background support for the educational and social development of disadvantaged young Australians to succeed at school, so they can create better futures for themselves.
Key responsibilities: • Applying TSF’s child protection framework to transcript checking activity • Reading and analysing online chat transcripts for matched iTrack student/mentor pairs • Following The Smith Family processes to escalate identified child protection issues from iTrack online chat transcripts, via email, to relevant stakeholders
Essential Competencies / Skills: • High Attention to detail • Strong reading comprehension skills • High level of computer proficiency • Competency with both email correspondence and internet applications • Organisational, time and workload management skills • Ability to prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines
Essential Experience / Education: • Demonstrated English language competency • Relevant experience with internet applications and online platforms.
Desirable Experience / Education: • Awareness of the community and education services sector and issues affecting disadvantaged people • Knowledge of and ability to interact with people from diverse nationalities, cultures and backgrounds
