Volunteer tasks and responsibilities

  • Collect and transport goods to RSPCA op shop
  • Transport donations from the op shop to other facilities as needed
  • Use an RSPCA vehicle to pick up things as needed for the shop
  • General maintenance of Op Shop grounds such as sweeping, tidying work spaces
  • On days when transport not needed you will assist with sorting donated goods
  • Unload goods from vehicle – some level of lifting and bending will be involved
  • Comply with all Work Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines
  • Understand and comply with RSPCA NSW policies and procedures.

Check requirements

  • Hold an unrestricted NSW Class C drivers’ licence and have an excellent driving record
  • Physical ability to lift up to 10 kilograms.
  • Ability to follow direction and work within a team and individually
  • Good verbal and communication skills
  • Reliable
  • Prepared to get a little dirty
  • Well organised, flexible and able to prioritise
  • Enjoy interacting with people
  • Positive attitude
