Beyond Blue is proud to be the official charity of the Sydney Coastrek 2020. With over 1000 teams walking to raise funds for Beyond Blue, we are hoping to raise over $2.8 million to help deliver services that make a difference to the lives of people affected by anxiety, depression and suicide.

About the event: This life-changing event is all about fun, fitness and fundraising. Coastrek is a 15km, 30km or 60km team walking challenge.

Teams of four have between 10 and 18 hours to complete the adventure, having raised vital funds for Beyond Blue’s 24/7 Support Service.

The walk takes Coastrekkers along Sydney’s stunning and iconic coastline, journeying from Palm Beach to the beautiful inner North.

Coastrek has inspired nearly 25,000 people to get moving in nature, and has raised over $30 million for charity.

We are looking for 130 volunteers to help out at this incredible event.

On the day, volunteers have the opportunity to choose from a number of tasks, including:

• encouraging and supporting the event participants, especially in moments of doubt or fatigue
• coordinating drink and rest stations for participants along the route
• handing out medals and celebrating with participants at the finish line
• set up and pack down of equipment and supplies
• helping with participant movement, like guiding them onto the correct bus or parking areas.

Volunteers will receive:

• a Coastrek fluoro vest to wear during their shift
• up to $30 in reimbursements to cover the costs of transport, parking, food and drinks
• free individual entry to any Coastrek event in the 12 months following your shift.
