A Community Organisation whose mission is to build a strong, inclusive community that overcomes disadvantage, is seeking Volunteers to assist with their Food Pantry.

This Organisation is committed to working with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change. Volunteers all work together in a friendly and welcoming environment to create and contribute to strengthening community engagement.

About The Role:

• Lifting of heavy crates from truck
• Assist with unpacking of food deliveries
• Sorting and storing pantry items
• Follow WHS procedures
• Volunteers are needed Wednesdays, 8.30am-11.30am

About You:

• Capacity to work as a part of a friendly team of Staff and Volunteers
• Commitment to volunteering for at least 6 months
• Friendly and non-judgemental
• Willing to follow instructions
• A genuine interest in volunteering in a community based environment
• Must have a NSW Working with Children Check, prior to commencement of role
• Need to be fit and healthy as heavy lifting is involved
