Established in 1982 and based in Melbourne, Australia, Victorian Association of WW2 Veterans from the ex-Soviet Union (AVWSU) is a not for profit . It was set up to provide support for those involved in military action, and others impacted by this tragic event directly or not. Over the years the organisation has evolved to a broader focus maintaining public awareness of the fight against nazism; commemorating the sacrifices made by the people of the Soviet Union during the Second World War for us to have the lives we do; and on supporting mental health outcomes for Australian veterans of all conflicts.

The key task of this role is to create some compelling content (video/image/text-based) - mainly using existing story material from our website - to tell the story of our organisation and drive traffic to our raffle page, as well as targeting people who may be interested more in the major prize ($5,000.00 Flight Centre voucher). This will be a great opportunity for someone looking to forge a career in digital marketing to get an authentic project on to their resume and talk to future employers about real campaign outcomes.

Formal qualification in commerce / marketing / sales is desirable, but not required. Previous experience in similar roles is desirable but not required. You are very interested in sales and want to build up on your existing knowledge and experience in this role helping a great cause. You will bring your energy and hunger to succeed in a challenging environment.

This is a short-term, intensive project oriented role, with the anticipated time commitment being equivalent to 10 hrs per week until the end of February.
