The Salvation Army Kingston City Community Support Services is seeking compassionate volunteers  to help to provide immediate assistance to those experiencing hardship and crisis. This important role is ideal for those who are organised and confident in dealing with people, providing support and guidance in their time of significant need. You will have direct client contact through interview assessments and assisting clients within program resources.

Four positions available. 9am-3pm either Mondays or Wednesdays. Immediate start available.

This role would be ideal for a retired Counsellor, Youth Worker or Social Worker. Full training provided however past experience in social work or similar field would be beneficial.  Due to the nature of this role where relationships are formed with the people we support, this position would be best suited to applicants who can provide a commitment of 6 months or longer to ensure continuity of service and development of trust.
