English Conversation Group Facilitators are urgently needed in the Carnes Hill area.

About The Role:

• Working as part of the Organisation’s Volunteer team to facilitate weekly English Conversation Groups for culturally and linguistically diverse participants
• Ensure all students participate in suitable topical discussions
• Gather feedback and provide suggestions for program improvement and share ideas
• Refer any issues and concerns to the Program Coordinator
• Time commitment is Thursday mornings during school terms only, between 10am and 12pm
• Mandatory Police Check before commencement of role

About You:

• Excellent command of the English language, written, oral and listening skills
• Friendly, welcoming and respectful to culturally and linguistically diverse participants
• Ability to manage personal conflict in a group
• Willing to provide positive guidance and encouragement
• Certificate in Teaching English as a second language would be an asset, but not essential
• Capacity to facilitate workshops and conversation with adult groups
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
