About the Organisation

The UNAA Young Professionals (YP) network involves and inspires young professionals throughout Australia in international affairs and the work of the United Nations around the world, through fundraising, awareness-raising and advocacy campaigns. The YP brings together a diverse mix of young professionals from business, law, government, the arts and philanthropy that are mainly between the ages of 25 to 35 years.

About the Role

The Partnership Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Partnerships Lead in identifying, developing and managing ongoing relationships with individuals, organisations and other Young Professional committees to forward the UN’s agenda: partnership for the goals. A particular focus is to engage with internal and external stakeholders, collect and collate partnership information, facilitate relationship with UNAAV YP events and coordinate partnership meetings.

Accountabilities

  • Identify and engage with allies across all sectors that align with UNAA and UNAAV priorities
  • Responsibility for managing particular relationships (as agreed with Partnerships Lead) - likely to include regular meetings and correspondence with key partners
  • Develop collaborative processes or alliances to advance issues
  • Manage ongoing relationship and seek opportunities to stronghold relations with partner organisations and individuals
  • Knowledge sharing
  • Works closely with Events, and marketing team to organise partner involvement at UNAAV YP events
  • When the Partnership Lead has outlined a work plan, provide support in assigning duties and responsibilities to partnership team members and track progress.
  • Assists the Partnership Lead in coordinating event activities
