Bushfire Recovery Newcastle - Constructing Nesting Boxes

Conservation Volunteers Australia
Logo for Conservation Volunteers Australia

In the aftermath of the recent bushfires, CVA has been entrusted as a one of the key organisations to deliver immediate environmental recovery needs of bushfire affected areas.

As an initial practical environmental response, we are inviting the broader community to contribute in the much needed recovery and ecological rehabilitation of these areas. The focus of these events is on restoring vegetation and waterways along with assisting native wildlife to return into the affected areas.

Come and join us in Newcastle to start building of much needed nesting boxes for the breeding season. Many natural tree hollows have been lost across NSW.  We will be assembling boxes for possums, gliders, microbats and many other native animals - for distribution to areas in need.

We look forward to helping the fire affected areas and providing our wildlife new opportunities and new beginnings!
