A not for profit charity that provides free ongoing flight and ground transport to sick children and their families from rural and regional NSW, would love some enthusiastic Volunteers  to join their Fundraising and Community Events team. Their Flight Program and transport services reduce the financial burden, emotional strain and travel fatigue experienced during medical treatment.  By participating as one of their Events Volunteers, you will be helping to provide these vital services.

About The Role:

  • You would be part of a small pool of Volunteers that are happy to help throughout the year at various events/fundraisers, as they arise
  • The main purpose is to raise vital funds and to raise public awareness of the charity
  • The role is flexible based on your availability and can fit in with your other commitments
  • Events may include selling raffle tickets and merchandise, fundraising BBQ’s, trivia nights, air shows, regional agricultural shows, golf days, race days and fairs
  • Although the Organisation is based in Bankstown, events can be held both locally and further afield
  • Volunteers will be given full training and informational brochures and a uniform to wear during the event
  • All costs will be covered including entry to the event, meals, parking etc.

About You:

  • Be prepared to attend mandatory Volunteer Induction and training
  • Provide a current Working with Children and Police Check
  • Promote and speak positively for and on behalf of Organisation
  • Be an active team player
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and possess a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Responsible, reliable and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate initiative and adaptability, as priorities may change during the course of the event
  • Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills
  • High level of professional integrity and honesty
  • Polite and courteous

By volunteering in this way, you can help to fulfil their vision that every child in need can rely on their support. If you would like to be part of this dedicated and passionate team, witnessing first-hand the positive impact their services have, we would love to hear from you!
