RSPCA NSW is seeking volunteers to provide exceptional customer service within our Woy Woy op shop. Our stores sell high quality second-hand and brand-new clothing, accessories and homewares.

As an Op Shop Volunteer, you will help raise vital funds for animals in our care and support various programs for people in our communities. RSPCA NSW will ensure you receive appropriate training and will provide ongoing support for other opportunities within the organisation, if required.

Volunteer Tasks:

• Maximise sales by providing advice and help to our customers
• Serve customers in the shop, handle money, use the cash register and EFTPOS terminal
• Visual merchandising
• Check stock and replenish when necessary
• Process daily banking
• Ensure store is clean and tidy
• Comply with all Work Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines
• Understand and comply with RSPCA NSW policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Physical ability to lift up to 10 kilograms
• Previous experience on a cash register
• Ability to follow direction and work within a team and individually
• Good verbal skills
• Reliable
• Well organised, flexible and able to prioritise
• Enjoy interacting with people
• Positive attitude
