We implement projects to protect child rights, to strengthen global partnership, and to advocate the right of the most vulnerable. Currently, Good Neighbors Alliance has a global presence in 43 countries with a focus on inclusive community development and child protection. Good Neighbors has attained a general consultative status-the highest status granted by the United Nations to non-governmental organizations, allowing them to participate in the work of the United Nations- in 1996.

Good Neighbors launched the Sydney office in 2018 under the Good Neighbors’ International Governance, following Good Neighbors Canada. Currently, we directly support the Philippines and Vietnam with our supporters and donors in Australia. Good Neighbors Australia is registered with ACNC (Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission) and has an endorsed Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status by the Australian Tax Office.

Position Summary

Good Neighbors Australia is seeking a Marketing and Fundraising Support Intern to play a crucial role in our fundraising campaigns. We, as a newly started NGO, welcome anyone with a start-up mindset who can explore opportunities and brainstorm our own business models with us. The ideal candidate will have an incredible opportunity to develop and execute innovative fundraising campaigns, whilst working with diverse partners in the Asia region. The purpose of the role is at our organisations’ centre by creating and maintaining a high level of interactions with diverse stakeholder groups. Responsibilities include, but not limited to :

1. Public relations and online marketing • Analyse and develop marketing and PR strategies • Plan and develop marketing integrated campaigns to acquire new supporters • Maintain and update engaging content that can be posted across social media platforms and website • Regularly monitor website activity via Google-ads and Google Analytics to optimise on-going campaigns • Assisting with producing PR materials -brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, and promotional videos 2.  Fundraising & event support • Support fundraising events including key logistics, interaction with donors and vendors, and providing administrative support • Aid in the recruitment of one-time event volunteers • Assist in the preparation and prompt distribution of donor and event attendee acknowledgement • Craft at least one event proposal during the internship and lead the team • Create short-term and long term fundraising strategies

About You 1. Essential Requirements • Highly motivated, positive and ‘can-do’ attitude and a very high level of discretion • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain relationships with external stakeholders and people from diverse backgrounds • Ability to understand global poverty issues and to represent them in an appealing way on social media platforms • Has an interest in co-creating the marketing strategy for a newly-started organisation and passionate about making a social impact 2. Desirable Requirements • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in International Development, Social science, Communications or similar work experience in the Non-profit sector • Hands-on experience of using common digital advertising platforms(Google AD and Facebook AD Manager) and managing the website(Wordpress) • A demonstrated interest in and enthusiasm in International Development, Community Development and Child Protection issues

Marketing and Fundraising Support Intern is an unpaid/voluntary position, so we are more than happy to work around your availability. We would love you to contribute one day per week (open to negotiation) at our office in North Strathfield. Good Neighbour Australia highly value our volunteers and their great contributions.
