Wood Collection Volunteer

    Physically fit; able to bend and lift moderate loads; able to use electric trimming shears.

    Please Note:
    * As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance).
    * Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role be a maximum of 15-16 hours per week.

    * May be arranged via the Organisation. Details to be provided on expression of interest.

Meet at designated location in Macclesfield at 9:30 am on appointed days (2 days per month minimum); receive instruction from group leader; accompany other group members to collection area; collect and load wood into trailer; travel to kiln site in Macclesfield area; unload trailer and stack and trim wood as needed by kiln operators. Repeat until 4 pm with a break for lunch.
