Volunteers are required for the below aspects of

the Bunnings BBQ operations:

FoxG1 BBQ captains:

FoxG1 Foundation in collaboration with Bunnings has been running BBQ’s for the past several years in Western Sydney to raise essential critical awareness and essential funds for research. Managing a BBQ requires coordinating with between 5-10 volunteers to cover the various roles as described below. We seek volunteer BBQ captains to join us on the BBQ’s and get ready for their next  independent BBQ event in a neighborhood around them. Besides a great attitude, no experience necessary as the simple operation can be picked up quite easily with support always available where needed.

FoxG1 BBQ Ninjas:

BBQ's at Bunnings are steadily busy, over 4 hours the BBQ ninja’s can cook between 200-300 sausages. The skills needed are a big smile and good BBQ skills. Do not worry if you are not an expert, cooking a sausage on a BBQ is the simplest recipe ever. We are looking for upto three BBQ ninjas for every Bunnings BBQ we do. No Skills necessary as basic food handling training will be provided FoxG1

BBQ serving Ninjas:

With a steady stream of customers lining up for the BBQ's your role would be to take an order from the customer's, and along with another volunteer to fulfill the order. A warm smile and a happy attitude are all the skills needed for this great role. We are looking for up to 5 Serving ninjas.

FoxG1 BBQ Cashiers

With a simple fixed price, $1.50 a drink, $2.50 a sausage the math is simple. Giving a smile and a flyer sharing FoxG1 details along with the right change back is the essential role for the FoxG1 Cashiers. We are looking for 3 cashiers per  BBQ.

FoxG1 BBQ Customer Service Ninjas / Ambassadors:

Because not many people are aware of FoxG1, besides the essential funds, these BBQ's are fantastic opportunities for the Foundation to interact with the community and share awareness of FoxG1 syndrome. Your role will be to speak the customers interested in finding out about FoxG1 syndrome and registering their details on the FoxG1 tablets.  No skills needed as a familiarity training will be provided.

Who is this for:

New in Sydney or been here forever, interested in genetics or not a clue, doesn't matter, register your interest in joining the FoxG1 crew at the next BBQ, either by yourself or as a corporate group team of friends, and help make a big difference to the Foundation.

For anyone new in the country, this is also a great opportunity to see another little corner of Sydney, practice your English skills in a real-world environment with 600 customers on the day and friendly and fellow volunteers.

This is great team building activity to get to know your friends, colleagues of fellow students better.

TOGETHER WE WILL FIND A CURE
