Digital Content Creator

Proudroots

Hi there,

We're ProudRoots, a newly established and youthful Western Australian not-for-profit dedicated broadly to the uplifting of Indigenous Maori, Pacific Islander and Aboriginal peoples living in Western Australia - to learn more about us, our vision and our mission, please visit our website www(dot)proudroots(dot)org(dot)au (website not yet 100% completed, but is enough to understand what we do)

We're a young organisation all aged between 21 - 27 and we're currently seeking a passionate digital content creator to add to our current team of 5.

What does this role involve:

This role includes plenty of scope for photo, video and written content creation. The right candidate must have either personal or professional experience in creating  photo and written content, with experience in video content creation being a bonus - but not expected.

1. Photography tasks:

  • Taking (or assisting with) photo's at our events;
  • Taking (or assisting with) other photo's related to our cause which will be used on our website and social media;
  • Taking (or assisting with) our community portrait photography project in which we are seeking to capture people and their stories, from within our community;
  • And more

2. Videography tasks:

  • Creating short and unique promotional videos for our organisation, events and activities;
  • Assisting in our series of community interviews in which we are seeking to interview unique people within our community and share their stories;
  • And more

3. Written content tasks:

  • We are currently setting up our blog and newsletter. Our blog will be reserved for more in-depth articles we look to create, whereas our newsletter will be more regular with updates about the organisation and what's going on in the community
  • We will also require written content alongside the majority of our photography/videography tasks.

4. Assisting with social media management and posting of all content.

Who this role is suitable for:

Passion and enthusiasm are key criteria for this role. As a small/new organisation we require you to be able to self-motivate; whilst there will be plenty of opportunity to discuss ideas, and collaborate it's critical that you can work independently and to a deadline. Formal education is not a requirement, but we will prefer candidates who can show any work they have completed in the past (this can be personal or professional work).

This role would be ideal for current students or new graduates, but we are open to anyone to join. You'll gain valuable experience and insight into marketing and content creation, and doing so within a real organisation looking to make an impact and build a reputation.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
