CPL’s Hope Island service is looking for volunteers with a keen interest in food sustainability, and supporting the community to reduce food waste. Volunteering on either Tuesdays or Thursdays from 9am – 43pm, you will be supporting with the stocktake and distribution of Oz Harvest goods to clients of the Deck Hub.

As the Volunteer Service Assistant you will be:

• Assisting with the stocktake of consumables from Oz Fresh Harvest.
• Assisting with the unpacking, setup and distribution of goods to clients.
• Conducting friendly, professional encounters with clients.
• Assisting with other activities relating to the volunteer opportunity where reasonable.

You will not be responsible for:

• Any personal support; e.g. manual handling, personal care, administration of medication or meal assistance. These activities will be carried out by qualified support workers.

This volunteer opportunity will take place at CPL’s Hope Island service on Tuesday and Thursdays from 9am to 3pm. The volunteer and CPL will regularly review this volunteer role based on the capacity of the volunteer to assist on an ongoing basis and the needs of CPL.

You will be responsible for organising your transport to and from the location of this CPL role.
