The purpose of this position is to deliver mental health awareness presentations to educate and offer hope in the community. These highly visual and engaging PowerPoint presentations feature accurate information on identifying the symptoms of depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder, their causes, when/where to seek help and how to support someone you care about.

Through delivery of the Institute’s evidence-based community education programs and sharing of their story, the Community Education Presenter helps to:

• reduce stigma associated with mental illness
• encourage help seeking behaviours
• promote early intervention for people with mental illness
• build personal resilience
