Family Store Retail Assistant - Bundamba, QLD

Looking to give back to your community? The Salvation Army Family Store in Bundamba is looking for new volunteers to help bring HOPE where it’s needed most. Be a part of this great team by volunteering just a few hours per week as a Retail Assistant - General Point of Sale, in our store.

A typical day in this role will see you attending to customer needs, face-to-face and on the phone, serving at the front counter cash register via cash and EFTPOS transactions and maintaining a welcoming environment, contributing to a positive in-store experience.  Your attention to detail and a desire for order and sparkle will be assets in this role as will your upbeat and friendly attitude. You may also open and close the store.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements For The Role

  • Customer service, point of sale, retail or merchandising experience would be beneficial but not essential to your success in this role as on the job training and induction are provided for the right candidates

Mandatory Requirements Of The Role

  • Fully complete The Salvation Army's volunteer registration process
  • Current Criminal History Check (Police Check) and integrity checks as required
  • Complete TSA induction modules and any other training as required
