The Father Bob Maguire Foundation has been supporting families in the South Melbourne area for over 20 years. Father Bob has been actively involved in caring for the homeless and in recent years he is focused on supporting children's education.  We will be running a makerspace (creative play with some science and engineering activities) for children living in public housing on Saturday during school term for about 1 hour each time (we have 2 sessions on each Saturday). No experience is required however your openness to learning and helping children is a must. We will have 2 sessions running on Saturdays starting February 8th 2020 as follows: 1. Skinners Adventure Playground at South Melbourne from 10.45am to 12.15pm 2. Prahan Youth Hub from 1pm to 2.30pm A compulsory briefing will be on Saturday February 8th 9.30am to 10.30am - which will be held at Father Bob's office . We are looking for happy, kind and generous volunteers who enjoy spending time with children - you must have a working with children check card for all volunteers above 18 years old.
