Wildlife Shelters receive little to no funding and work tirelessly around the clock to support the health and welfare of injured, sick or orphaned wildlife requiring rehabilitation. W4W Inc aims to provide a support network and financial assistance to shelters to continue to do the valuable work they do and help protect our natural environment.

Project description To provide donations of medical, food and supplies to Wildlife Shelters and organising fundraising events, working bees to help support the work they do.

Position requirements A time commitment of 10 hours per fortnight High level of commitment to the work of W4W Inc. Drive to Emerald on a fortnightly basis to pack and sort through donations Willingness to invest in developing his/her own management skills Be informed of the projects/activities undertaken by W4W Inc. and support them publicly Prepare for and participate in the discussions, reports and the deliberations of the committee regarding the project Knowledge and understanding in Excel Data Entry Be aware of and abstain from any conflict of interest

Position responsibilities Planning Collect, sort and deliver donations of supplies to wildlife shelters across Victoria Organise events, community days, fundraisers Willingness to help with recruitment of volunteers, sponsors and team leaders Participate in establishing and reviewing W4W Inc’s mission and values of the project Participate in the strategic planning process Participate in establishing and reviewing the Project Work closely with the organisations partners and sponsors Work within a budget

Operations Monitor performance of program Provide candid and constructive criticism, advice and comments Participate in major decisions such as program changes, capital expenditure Finance - Monitor financial performance Ensure that published reports properly reflect the operating results and financial   condition of the organisation Review compliance with relevant legal requirements Ensure appropriate risk assessment and management procedures are in place

Advocacy and marketing Promote the organisation’s interests actively within the broader community. Represent the organisation to key agencies and sectors such as government, funding bodies and the community sector.
