Do you genuinely care about young people? Do you have two hours per week free during terms 2 and 3 of the school year in 2020? Would you like to learn valuable mentoring skills?

Raise improves the lives of young people facing profound challenges through our Ismo program in high schools. We are currently recruiting for mentors to support young people in need. You just need two hours a week during Term 2 and Term 3 to make a big difference in a young person’s life.

You might be retired, parenting at home, studying, or have flexible work hours. You don’t have to be a teacher or an expert to be a mentor. You just need to be a good listener and able to act as a sounding board for ideas and aspirations. Your skills and life experiences can make a real difference to a young person in your local community, as well as your positive outlook and a genuinely compassionate interest in young people.

We offer free training to provide you the skills you need to make a real difference in the life of a young person. We need lots of mentors, and male mentors are particularly in demand. We will be running a number of training sessions from September 2019-March 2020 so be sure to apply now so that our team can reserve you a place. You will be matched with your young person in school Term 1, and you will start mentoring in Term 2 (April 2020).

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
