North Queensland Wildlife Care rescues and cares for sick, injured or orphaned native fauna. Our focus is on rehabilitation and release. We have a opportunities for volunteers in our Trash and Treasure centre.

Tasks include:

Organising donations to Trash and Treasure Making appealing visual displays General Cleaning Making sales Assisting the shop manager with shop duties as directed.

This opportunity would be ideal for someone with or looking to gain experience in retail and those with an interest in environmental activism, animal care and husbandry or interest in small not for profit organisations.

Our ideal volunteer must be an animal lover as we often have many wild native animals at the centre and some of them badly wounded but also be:

Able to learn new skills as required Maintain cleanliness Have organisation skills Able to take charge of a space to make appealing shop displays. Able to count money, give change and trustworthy.
