Southern Districts Rugby Club
Logo for Southern Districts Rugby Club

Southern Districts Rugby Club competes in the New South Wales Rugby Union's Shute Shield competition fielding 4 Men's Grade, 2 Women's Sevens, 3 Colts, U18's teams. Southern Districts is an amalgamation of two proud & successful clubs Port Hacking & St George, since 1989.

The club is based at Forshaw Rugby Park, Sylvania Waters in the Sutherland Shire & includes a catchment area comprising the Sutherland Shire, Georges River & Bayside Councils. Local Village clubs within this catchment area include Burraneer JRUC, Menai RUC, Oatley Rugby, Rockdale RUC & Sylvania JRC who provide players to represent the Southern Districts Junior Rugby Union from U10 - U16. The club is a close-knit community that engages in a range of on & off-field activities from 15 a side & 7's rugby union, junior development, education & training, local community fundraising & much more!

Our club is lucky that we have a healthy number of volunteers that keep the place moving every year. But it is getting harder given the size of the asset we have to manage. So we are looking to get more of you involved in assisting the club in 2019/20. We have ideas, we need people to help us implement :-)

VOLUNTEERS - ACROSS OPERATIONS

We need people to come onto some of our small working teams to assist with things like our colts program, colts and womens foundation, general fundraising, sponsorship, junior club liaison, grounds maintenance, office work, events and community and a whole lot more.

MANAGERS NEEDED - MAKE A DIFFERENCE

We have a refreshed rugby program across the club for 2019/20. Out coaches are lined up and we have some great managers ready to go. We do however need a few extra team managers to dive in and assist players, coaches and colts management roll through the year. So if you are sitting on the sidelines already, get involved and feel the incredible satisfaction of working with a great group of people in a great club culture.

ASSISTANT REFEREES (TOUCH JUDGE)

If you are over 18 and want to become an assistant referee then we would like to hear from you. We will fund your exams and ensure we work with you to build your experience in the coming years.

These are only a few suggestions of areas we need and would like more volunteers however we are always open to new ideas and the club will welcome anyone who can contribute in any capacity on or off the field.

Please contact one of our Board Members - Michael Osmond ( & 0439 440 766) if you are interested in having a conversation about volunteering.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
