Maltese Aged Care Association of South Australia (MACASA) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Cheltenham. We provide meals and social support for older people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

We have a vacancy available on our Board for the volunteer position of Treasurer. The Board meets monthly to review and manage the organisation.

We are seeking an experienced individual to oversee the Association’s finances. You will be responsible for working with our Services Manager to manage all financial aspects of the Association. The role will: • Present finance updates at monthly Board meetings • Make recommendations regarding expenditure and state of accounts • Prepare and monitor annual budget with input from staff and Board members • Be responsible for preparation of financial statements for the Annual General Meeting • Participate and contribute to Board discussion, including annual strategy.

Skills required: • Current knowledge of Australian accounting standards and reporting requirements; • Proven ability to prepare and deliver budget documents and financial reports; • Excellent written and oral communication skills; • Proven ability to work independently.

Board members must reside in South Australia.
