Emergency Home Alarm Administration Volunteer - Hobart

Time frame: ongoing • Time Commitment – 3-5 hours per fortnight

The Program Red Cross supports elderly members of the community to be more independent, to improve their wellbeing and social connection, and to remain living in their local community. The Emergency Home Alarm Service does this by providing medical alert alarms to the elderly who wish to remain independently living in their home.

The opportunity This role is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to gain administration experience while giving back to the community. An Emergency Home Alarm Administration Volunteer will have a varied role supporting this program with tasks ranging from client reviews through to equipment refurbishment. This flexible role allows for time off due to holidays and study requirements.

The impact As an Emergency Home Alarm Administration Volunteer your voluntary work will contribute to the delivery of this service to individuals and families in need. Your efforts in this role will support staff and aid in the efficient provision of services in Tasmania. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World’s largest humanitarian network.
