Openlight has been strengthening communities since 1925. Our door is open, and the light is on! With an emphasis on volunteers and members we offer a variety of programs that inspire action and provide volunteers with real life experience while giving back to their community.

We are looking for people to join our team of young volunteers for the upcoming Summer Camp running from the 27th- 31st of December. The theme of this summer camp is HEROES so strap on your cape and get ready for a fun filled week of adventure!

Our youth camps are facilitated entirely by volunteers and funded by donations from our generous supporters. The camps are facilitated by a dedicated team of volunteers with more than 25 years and 50 camps experiencOur past activities include: • Movie Nights and Discos • Baking • Crafts and Sports • Bonfires • Excursions to local Victor Harbor surrounds (Urimbirra, movie theatre etc.)

Summer Camps are even more exciting, with excursions to the beach and other outdoor water activities planned!

Volunteers with specialised knowledge may choose to run their own activities but this is not a necessity. On camps our volunteers have excellent opportunities to:

• develop and demonstrate their leadership, organisational skill and initiative;
• demonstrate their commitment to caring for children and social awareness;
• meet other volunteers studying or working in related fields (such as teaching, psychology and social work; and
• gain valuable experience working with children.
