Distributing flyers for the Ballarat Memory Walk & Jog
Dementia AustraliaDementia Australia represents the more than 436,000 Australians living with dementia and the estimated 1.5 million Australians involved in their care.
We are seeking volunteers to promote our Ballarat Memory Walk & Jog in the local community at sessions as listed below. This personal approach assists with community interest and participation in the event. If you are comfortable engaging with the community, this volunteer role would be perfect for you.
FEBRUARY
Thursday 20 Feb Lake Wendouree Shopping Centre 9am – 1pm
Friday 21 Feb Wendouree Train Station 6.30am - 9.30am
MARCH
Monday 2 Wendouree Train Station 6.30am – 9.30am
Thursday 5 Lake Wendouree Shopping Centre 9am – 1pm 1pm – 5pm 5pm – 9pm
Monday 9 Begonia Festival Pde Parade 10.30am – 2.00pm tbc
Thursday 12 Lake Wendouree Shopping Centre 9am – 1pm 1pm – 5pm
Some of the sessions involve handing out flyers to the public at railway stations, shopping centres; others involve flyering from a stand in a shopping centre. We are also hoping to gather a large group of people who can be an enthusiastic part of the Begonia Festival Parade walking behind a banner promoting the Memory Walk & Jog:) With all sessions we will provide you with resources, t shirt and a briefing so you are clear on how best to help:) If any of these sessions would be possible for you, it would be fabulous if you could contact me via: or 0428 051 780
