Task

• Support migrants and refugees to increase their driving hours in preparation for their driving licence test • Attend orientation briefing with MYS accredited driving instructor on 'Guide to support learner drivers". • Liaise with and operate under the guidance of the MYS accredited driving instructor. • Volunteers can choose how many hours and when (even one hr per week would be terrific).

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - patience and a good listener. • Enthusiasm to work with migrants and refugees. • Significant driving experience, good driving record and reasonable knowledge of road rules. • Over 25yrs of age with a current Working with Vulnerable People card. • Optional use of MYS vehicle (auto) or own vehicle with reimbursed costs (MYS has full volunteer insurance and own vehicle excess cover).
