EOI – Connections Inc. Board of Governance Membership General Members Connections Inc. is seeking new members for its Board of Governance. This is a rewarding opportunity to join the governance body of a community organisation based in the Caboolture region. Connections Inc. is a not-for-profit community service organisation that provides individual support, support coordination, social activities and advocacy for people living with disability or mental health needs. Connections mission is to create a better life for people living with disability. We achieve this by offering a variety of sustainable services that support people to make fulfilling lifestyle choices. Community members with management, secretarial, legal or marketing skills are encouraged to apply. Experience in the disability sector is not necessary. We are seeking new general members. Community members with the following skillsets are encouraged to apply as a General Member:

• Ability to support leadership, development and strategic direction for community organisations
• Knowledge of/ experience with: o Financial Management or Accounting; or experience preparing and managing budgets for community organisations o Legal issues related to the governance of community organisations o The National Disability Insurance Scheme o Business Management o Policy development and reviews o Strategic planning and evaluation processes o Marketing, public relations, fundraising and promotion for community organisations o Disability Other Information The Board of Governance usually meets online via Teams every six weeks, with minimal essential communication occurring via email between meetings. Successful candidates should be prepared to offer a minimum of 4 hours per month towards Board of Governance responsibilities and attend at least 6 meeting per year.
