The program The Red Cross in partnership with Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is providing an opportunity for women who experience social isolation to come together in Alice Springs.  The program is supported by staff of Congress, Red Cross and volunteers.

The opportunity The Australian Red Cross is seeking volunteers who;

• have a genuine interest in working with women from diverse cultural backgrounds including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women
• can share interests in music, arts, stories, bush trips or cooking
• can assist with driving a mini bus

The impact This program is aiming to address social isolation for women who have limited access to opportunities due to health issues, financial difficulties, caring responsibilities and lack of transport.

This initiative is offering a social and therapeutic activity based around creative ideas, cooking, bush trips, friendship, positive regard and storytelling.
