About the opportunity

The role of the Out for Australia Communications Team is to:

  • support the state team (state director, events team, general volunteers) in navigating communications prior, during and after an event
  • develop content to be shared on communication channels (e.g. role model profiles and thought leadership articles)(c) manage the live-communications during an event (e.g. live streaming, Instagramming an event)
  • keep the state team updated on any updates from the Communications team at a national level

The purpose of a State Communications Manager is to support their state team with any social-media related content. The State Communications Manager may also be asked to fill in for general volunteer tasks when there is no communications work.

About you

A strong understanding of the features available on Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn/Twitter

  • Experience in live streaming events, taking relevant images for Instagram during events
  • Reliability and good communication, especially in team-work environments
  • A “can-do” attitude, keenness, openness to learn new skills, and to apply your existing ones
  • Good time-management and personal organisation
  • Preferred but not necessary: contacts in the media industry
