Key duties/responsibilities: • Weed removal and control • Planting and soil preparation works • Spreading mulch • Site condition assessments • Fauna and flora monitoring • Tree treatment to manage plant pathogens • Seed collection • Litter collection • Hand watering newly installed and young plants • Assistance with environmental events • Other activities as required

Important attributes: • Enthusiasm and a genuine interest in the natural environment. • Eagerness and willingness to undertake training in the methods and principles of natural area restoration and environmental enhancement projects. • Adherence to the goals and objectives of the City of Subiaco's environmental program.

City of Subiaco commitments: • Provision of gloves and all tools required to undertake the works. • Supervision of all works by a qualified Parks and Environment Services employee. • Email notification of upcoming environmental volunteer opportunities that are in addition to the regular monthly volunteer morning.
