The Mayors Christmas Tree Appeal is a community favourite and the Council is calling for volunteers who love all things Christmas and are passionate about Townsville as a community.

This event hinges on all four goals for the city and strives to achieve ‘A Prosperous City’ and ‘A City for People’. So, if you are interested in supporting the Council’s goals for Townsville by “maximizing opportunities for economic growth by building and maintaining effective partnerships.” and want to “improve the vibrancy of Townsville by supporting the community’s access to, and participation in, a range of artistic, cultural and entertaining activities.”

This year’s Mayors Christmas Tree Appeal is your chance to assist both the Council and members of the community that are struggling during the Festive Season.

An opportunity to prepare and serve sausages at Bunnings - Domain as a fundraising initiative is available on Saturday, 9 Nov - 7:30 am-4:00 pm

The opportunity will require assisting with the setup and closing of the sizzle. It will also involve cooking and cash handling.

Volunteers will be placed on a roster for the sizzle, which includes the Mayor and local Councilors.
