Red Cross has been responding to emergencies and providing humanitarian assistance in Australia since 1914. The Emergency Services Team are committed to strengthening and extending our emergency aid services to assist all Australians prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies.
The opportunity
The Red Cross Planning Officer works with the Commander and Incident Management Team (IMT) to ensure that Red Cross response and recovery activities in an emergency operation are effectively planned based on the best available information and intelligence, considering a range of operational options based on strategic objectives, risk, wellbeing and resources .
The Planning Officer (and team as applicable to the Situation ) is responsible for data sourcing and analysing, options analysis and plan making, record keeping, reporting and information distribution.

As a State Planning Officer, your contribution to the work of the Red Cross Emergency Services team will help Queenslanders to be better prepared, better connected to each other and more resilient when emergencies happen.
