Mentor for Brew Barrow Social Enterprise, a person who loves coffee and wants to help young people

City of Stirling
Logo for City of Stirling

The City of Stirling has a lovely Brew Barrow, a commercial coffee machine mounted on a specially made cart, at our Osborne park Community Hub in Tuart Hill.

During busy times at the Hub the cart will operate giving youth volunteers a chance to practice their skills on our machine. The young people will develop skills that may help them get a job, including barista skills, team work, communication and customer service.

We are looking for a compassionate, patient person to act as mentor. The mentor will work with the young people and take a lead role on the program. You will need to set boundaries, maintain standards of customer service and hygiene, and help the young people learn the skills involved in being a barista.

You will need fantastic communication skills, the ability to relate to young people and be able to operate a coffee machine.

You must be willing to get a Police Clearance and a Working With Children Card, at the expense of the City.

You need to be available on Monday or Tuesday morning.

The role would suit someone interested in the field of education, youth work of community development.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
