Volunteer Youth Advisory Committee Member – ACT

The program The ACT Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) exists to advise Australian Red Cross on Australian society matters from a youth perspective as well as support humanitarian action initiatives on a local, state/territory, national and international level.

The opportunity  This role will suit someone between the ages of 18 to 30 years old who is an enthusiastic team player, has strong initiative and a willingness to give back to their local community. This role requires someone who can commit around 2 -3 hours a week on ad-hoc events and project coordination as well as attending one evening meeting a month, either in person or through teleconference.

The impact As a member of the ACT YAC, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of young humanitarians who work with the wider Red Cross as well as the local ACT community to offer support to community initiatives and national projects. Red Cross will ensure that you have training, ongoing support and access to opportunities within the World's largest humanitarian network.
