Volunteer at Mt Gravatt Community Centre Inc

Mount Gravatt Community Centre

We recognise the important contribution of volunteers within the community. Mount Gravatt Community Centre Inc. values our volunteers who, in their various roles, initiate, deliver and enhance a broad range of services and programs offered by this organisation.

That's why we welcome volunteers with whatever skills and experience they bring. We recognise that everyone has something to share so we encourage you to come and share with us what you are passionate about so together we can build our community.

The role of a volunteer is to assist, cooperate, participate, teach and provide support to MGCCI's staff and service recipients. The Centre recognises that vital contributions made by volunteers can result in:

•   The development of new services •   The enhancement of existing programs, services and activities •   The provision of direct links between the Centre and the community.

The benefits of volunteering with us are the friends you will make, the feeling that you are making a difference to peoples lives, the skills you learn and the warm and friendly atmosphere you will get to spend time in.

We have many roles available for volunteers, and we are open to creating new opportunities to fit in with what you want, what the community wants, and your skills and knowledge.

MGCCI is a not-for-profit, registered charitable organisation located on Logan Road, Upper Mount Gravatt.

As a community centre, we proactively seek to work with other agencies and organisations to collaboratively deliver flexible, responsive and holistic services for our community.  Our community centre can be accessed by all members of our community in a diverse number of ways; individually and groups.  There is a place and space for everyone.

Some of the volunteer opportunities we have come up include administration (photocopying, data entry, designing brochures, ordering brochures, folding, making up folders etc), helping out in our food pantry (packing food hampers, putting food on shelves etc), driving our mini bus for social group outings and food pick ups), helping with events

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
