TransitCare is dedicated to assisting our clients to remain active in the community and live independently in their own homes. We achieve this through the provision of shared pre-booked transport and social support programs for people with disabilities; and older members of our community.

Opportunities to join our volunteer team to provide transport and shopping assistance is available. Volunteers would pick up a client in one of our vehicles and provide assistance to do shopping on Saturday's and Sunday's.

This opportunity is suitable for volunteers that enjoy the company of the elderly or people with disability's. Qualities of good listening skills, understanding and caring are essential.

The practical assistance and social support through this role makes a significant differnce in the quality of life for clients.

TASKS INCLUDE:

Driving a vehicle

Pushing a trolley

Assist with client needs

Help client unpack grocery or shopping
