Celebrate Melbourne Cup 2019 the “race that stops the nation”, within the elegant surrounds of the Sofitel Hotel!

There will be a Melbourne Cup themed lunch event and with the stakes so high, we are hoping the donations will be high too! We need your help to make the day a success!

Starlight volunteers will be helping out with various tasks and raising much needed funds for Starlight's programs! The main role for the Starlight Volunteers is to assist with selling raffle tickets as well as the sweep before the event!

A sweep is when a number of people pay to purchase a set of tickets, each representing a horse in the race. Starlight will receive half of the prize pool! Yay!

Every dollar raised through the sweep will help support Starlight's programs, which help to give happiness to seriously ill children and young people. The Starlight Express Room is a medical-free haven for sick kids and their families seeking a welcome break from the relentless cycle of medical treatments and procedures. We need your help to make this a success!

Minimum age to volunteer is 18 years old.
