• Create the content and stories for the SSI Armidale newsletter and website news blog
• Conduct offsite interviews with a culturally responsible approach
• Simple photography to accompany written material and build photo library
• Creating, proofing and editing content for social media
• Collaborate with the communications team for publishing

Essential

• Studying journalism / media/ communications
• have sound understanding of communications strategies and tools, including knowledge of social media management
• Organisational and time management skills
• Proactive and task orientated requiring limited supervision
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Strong skills in breaking down complex problems and explaining issues to others
• Excellent phone manner and confident in speaking with people face to face and on phone
