Mood Active is seeking to fill the skilled position of Committee Member, Mental Health on the Association’s management committee. We are looking for people who can leverage their networks to open doors for Mood Active and help shape the future of our not-for-profit.

Mood Active has recently won a series of grants and is in a strong growth phase, so and is seeking to expand its committee.

  • Positions are volunteer appointment for a minimum two-year term
  • Approximate commitment 8-12 hours per month
  • Required to attend 10 Committee meetings per year in the eastern suburbs of Sydney (some will be by phone link), plus two strategic planning sessions annually actively attend fundraising events, invited to attend staff gatherings & social events
  • Represent Mood Active at networking events to help the organisation grow

The successful committee member will have the following attributes:

  • Board, Committee, governance role experience
  • Relevant qualification and experience - mental health, psychology and/or disability
  • Community and/or corporate networks that can be leveraged to open doors for Mood Active.
  • Experience contributing to the development of a long-term organisation strategy
  • Health sector / NFP knowledge beneficial
  • passionate about using exercise to benefit own mental health

About Mood Active

Established in 2013, Mood Active is a small, not for profit association based in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. We provide low cost group exercise programs for people diagnosed with depression and anxiety to help them get back on their feet and also manage their mood longer term.
