Your Side provides a variety of social support events for Australians over the age of 65 (or 50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples) to prevent social isolation and to contribute to better psychological and physical wellbeing. Your Side coordinates a range of activities and day trips in the community to extend social connections, keeping clients healthy and active and to simply enjoy life. Your Side's activities are designed around clients interests with other like-minded people.

As an active social companion/carer volunteer you will be assisting  people over 65 on day trips, acting as a facilitator during social support trips and liaising directly with the reception / customer service at venues. This is a chance to give back to the community and explore Sydney during trips while lunch is provided for volunteers. Volunteers do not assist with personal care (which includes helping in the bathroom) or administering medication. Your Side has a NO LIFT policy for all staff and volunteers.
