The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Baptcare - Hedley Sutton Community.

Can you drive a 22 seater bus? Our current bus driver is on extended sick leave and we are looking for someone to step in to this position for a period of 3- 6 months. If you like meeting people, making them happy, working in a team and making a true difference then Baptcare volunteering is perfect for you.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Driving a 22 seater for resident outings - morning and afternoon short trips on a weekly basis
• Assisting with seating the residents
• General chit chat with residents

Skills and Experience:

• Light Rigid License
• Driving record
• Interaction with elderly residents
• Ability to negotiate maps

Note:

• There are usually two bus outings on the one day- morning and afternoon
• The morning outing times are around 10.00am-12.00pm
• The afternoon outing times are around 1.30pm-3.00pm
• Times may vary slightly depending on destination
• The day can also be negotiated to suit the volunteer
• The volunteer can either do both or just one depending on availability
