Aged Care Visitors with Vietnamese and Chinese Community Languages
Chester Hill Neighbourhood Centre IncWe are in need of volunteers who can speak the community languages of Vietnamese and Chinese for our Aged Care programs to visit residents in aged care facilities. As a visitor you would provide friendship and companionship to residents in the Bankstown/Padstow/Canterbury area who are experiencing social isolation and loneliness. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, visits with residents are currently via phone calls, letter writing and Zoom. You would visit your friend weekly or fortnightly on a one-to-one basis. The visits are friendly and relaxed and you may chat, talk about current news, reminisce, listen to music, play a board or card game, do crafts together.
